Marguerite Cogorno Radencich Graduate Scholarship Award
2006 - 2007
  

Purpose: The Dade Reading Council Marguerite Cogorno Radencich Graduate Scholarship is designed to benefit outstanding students seeking graduate degrees in reading..  The $500 scholarship(s) will be awarded at the Dade Reading Council November, 2006 Workshop.
 
Selection Criteria: Dade Reading Council will  select the most qualified applicants.  The Scholarship Committee will consider the applicant's future goals, participation in Dade Reading Council for at least one calendar year, current memberships, and contributions to literacy and academic potential.
 

All applicants must:

1.  Be accepted at a university in the State of Florida seeking a graduate degree in reading.

2.  Be registered as a full-time student carrying at least six semester hours per semester.

3.  Be a member of Dade Reading Council for 2005-06 and 2006-07

4.  Include the following documentation:
- Letter of acceptance in a graduate program, majoring in reading
- A transcript of courses completed and grades received
- Completed application form
- Three letters of recommendation: University professor, professional colleague, character reference (non-family member).

 

All completed applications must be received no later than
December 1, 2006
